Or . JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or AVIF — up to 20 images, 20 MB each.
Nothing leaves your device. Files are decoded and re-encoded in this browser tab.
Output targets
None of these images have transparency, so a JPEG export will look identical to the source.
Canvas re-encodes every pixel, so this is a decode-and-encode round trip, not a byte-level container swap. We do not claim lossless conversion anywhere in this tool.
Settings apply to every image in the batch once you upload.

How it works
Upload mixed formats
A batch can contain JPGs and PNGs together. Each file keeps its own detected format, shown on the thumbnail.
Pick the output format
Choose JPG, PNG or WebP. If a platform preset is selected, the preset supplies the format instead.
Choose a flatten colour
Converting a transparent PNG to JPEG fills the empty area with the colour in the Convert tab — white by default, because that is what most marketplaces expect.
Transparency is where conversions go wrong
JPEG has no alpha channel. When you convert a transparent PNG to JPEG, the transparent pixels have to become some colour, and if you do not choose it, you inherit whatever the encoder picks — usually black. Product cut-outs on black are a common reason listings get rejected.
This tool flattens onto the colour you select before encoding, and the Convert tab tells you how many images in the batch actually have transparency, so the warning is specific rather than generic.
Format trade-offs, briefly
- JPEG — smallest files for photographs, no transparency, lossy at every quality level. Best for product shots on a solid background.
- PNG — lossless, keeps transparency, often 3–10× larger than the same photo as JPEG. Right for logos, flat graphics and images that must not degrade.
- WebP — roughly 25–35% smaller than JPEG at comparable quality in most tests, supports transparency and animation. Not accepted by Etsy.
No, this is not a lossless converter
A true lossless conversion exists in narrow cases — PNG to a lossless WebP, or extracting the embedded JPEG from a container without re-encoding. This tool does none of those. Every export is decode → draw → encode, which means JPEG and WebP targets lose information. We would rather say that than put a “100% lossless” badge on a canvas re-encode.
Questions
Can I convert WebP to JPG here?
Yes. Modern browsers decode WebP natively, so the source can be WebP and the output JPEG, PNG or WebP. WebP input is accepted on every page of this tool.
Why is my PNG so much bigger than the JPEG?
PNG stores lossless pixels with DEFLATE compression; photographs contain a lot of near-random detail that DEFLATE cannot compress well. A photographic PNG is routinely five to ten times the size of a quality-85 JPEG of the same image.
Can I convert HEIC or TIFF files?
Not reliably. Safari on macOS can decode HEIC, most other browsers cannot, and TIFF support is inconsistent. The uploader rejects them with an explicit message rather than producing a broken file — export to JPG first.
Does converting change the dimensions?
No. Unless you set a custom size in the Resize tab, the output keeps the source pixel dimensions. Crop and resize are separate, optional steps.
Is the conversion done on your servers?
There are no servers involved. The browser decodes the file, draws it to an offscreen canvas and asks its own encoder for the new format.
